Every year around Earth Day, our inboxes fill with discounts dressed in green. Sustainable offers, eco flash sales and Earth Day deals make us pause because at Onesta, we don’t believe true sustainability can be reduced to a 20% off code.

Yes - we’ve done discounts before and yes, you’ll still find marked-down pieces on our website today. That aside, we want to be honest with you about why those discounts exist and why Earth Day this year isn't one of them. 

We're a small business, built on big values

Our clothes pieces are created slowly and thoughtfully, in small batches to minimise overproduction. We don’t inflate prices just to slash them later and we don’t run promotions designed to encourage mindless buying.

However, over the last few years we've been learning and haven't always got it right. It has been necessary in some cases to offer money off but know our sale items are not about pushing product. Our marked down pieces are to create creative space - literally. Every piece we discount is one we’ve already invested in. Often, we lose money on it. But letting it go means making room in our studio (and our minds) for what’s next.

Earth Day isn't a marketing moment for us — it's a mindset

The truth is, sustainability isn’t seasonal for us. It’s daily, in every fabric choice we make, every partner we work with, every decision we take as a team. That kind of commitment doesn’t come with a countdown timer. It comes with care, clarity, and the courage to say:

We’re doing things differently — even if it’s quieter.

What we hope Earth Day can be

A moment to reflect.
To reconnect with our values.
To honour the small brands doing things the hard way, because it’s also the right way.
And to support work that supports something greater than just the bottom line.

So no, we’re not running an Earth Day discount tomorrow. Instead, we’re inviting you to slow down with us. To learn, to question, to choose better and wear that choice with pride.
